Our Mission & What We Believe
Our Mission
Empowering the next generation by connecting them to their language, culture, and roots.
Language is not a subject. It's how a child talks to a grandmother who never learned English, how they follow what's being said at a puja, how they hold on to a piece of where their family comes from after the family has moved.
What We're Working Toward
When a language slips out of a household, it goes quietly. Nobody decides to stop. We're not trying to produce perfect Nepali speakers — we're trying to produce children who can use it.
Reading & Writing
Devanagari letters, then words, then sentences.
Speaking & Listening
Class runs largely in Nepali, so children hear it from someone other than their parents.
Everyday Language
Family, food, school, numbers, time, directions, and how to answer the phone politely.
Culture
Festivals and what they're for, songs, stories, and the courtesies that are hard to translate — taught alongside the language, not bolted on after it.
Interactive Classes
Teachers call on every child, every session. Nobody sits on mute for an hour.
Structured Curriculum
Defined levels with materials built for children raised outside Nepal, not textbooks written for kids in Kathmandu.
